Like Dorie would say…’just keep swimming”

I mailed pictures of the Bean to my mother in Arkansas.
The Bean had mud and lots of playdo. We had a few power outtages and made ghost noises that she enjoyed.
She’s singing along with so many songs now I can’t keep track. She knows the words on some of them better than I do and when we are singing together and I get lost, I can get a cue from her.
We went to a Memorial Day Bar b que/party at my friend (from Arkansas) Dawn’s place in Crystal Lake. Lots of children, very cool folks, very very laid back.Conversations about the Knights Templar and James Spader, toddler behavior and schools in the area.
The Bean was an absolute dream. A teacher there commented on how bright eyed and full of personality she was. Said it certainly looked like we were doing a good job. No tantrums at all. She was so friendly and kept going up to folks and saying HI and various other bon mots.
That felt good.
Her interesting thing currrently is trying to get her daddy or me to ‘close baby tad’s mouth,” or “make noogie go to sleep, close eyes.” Her dolls are very real to her right now. She’s spending quite a bit of time playing by herself in her room these last few weeks too.
Hopefully the rain ends soon so we can go to the park more. We have some playdates set up with folks from her class and her swimming class starts in a couple of weeks.
The Bean is wearing an adorable cat shirt and socks from Katrina and Sherilyn. The shirt says “catitude” and the socks have catheads on them. When her mary janes are on the cat ears and eyes peak out. It is my favorite outfit right now and I wish she could have one in every size.
She’s playing balloons with Eric and Sydney.
