Happy Halloween

And it was too. We went around the neighborhood and she figured out that if you knock on a door, and say trick or treat you get candy. And at about 75% of the houses she said ‘thank you, Happy Halloween.” Our neighbors are really nice , even had a chat with a few of the neighborhood democrats–we remembered each other from the peace march.

Miss Bean also ran up to a cute girl dressed like a princess with the added bonus of kitty ears and a tail and said “BALLERINA KITTY!” and they compared tails. All the kids we ran into were polite, very sweet to Emily and incredibly cute. James and I were grinning so hard that our faces hurt. It was just perfect. My heart was absolutely full. We got lots of comments on how cute and funny she was. I went back home about 5:30 so as not to miss too many trick or treaters. Out here it starts at three and ends about 7. We never manage to get rid of all the candy but we passed out a lot.

Afterwards James and I had our time and a lot of good talking about recent events, just checking in to make sure we are really doing what we need to be doing. So far so good.

Happy Halloween everybody, I hope you were as happy as we were. And Happy new year !
