Recent Bean Mots

Each week at the Bean’s preschool they “do a letter.”
There is an alphabet box and kids bring something from home each day that starts with that week’s letter.

This week is D.

“So Emily what are you going to bring that starts with D?”

“D, D DEAD starts with D! I’ll bring something DEAD.”

Ahem. Really, they do take in a LOT more than you think they do.

She’ll take her Mr. Death (a beany grim reaper) tomorrow.
I don’t even try to explain anything anymore.
I guess the kinderbat doesn’t fall far from the old spooky tree.

and on Sunday:

James and Emily went to Church today (I stayed home with bad allergies) and then to Quiznos.
Emily loves pickles.

She went to the pepper bar.

James: Emily, no thank you…leave those alone.
Emily: I want a pickle.
James: Leave those alone right now, they aren’t pickles
Emily: I want a pickle, they are pickles

and she grabs one and pops it into her mouth. Eyes widening she runs over to James.
He says: You got a jalepeno didn’t you? Spit it out, here, and opens a napkin.

She does and then in a loud voice says: Daddy! That pickle is having a BAD DAY!

The entire restaurant cracks up
