Each week at the Bean’s preschool they “do a letter.”
There is an alphabet box and kids bring something from home each day that starts with that week’s letter.<\/p>\n
This week is D.<\/p>\n
“So Emily what are you going to bring that starts with D?”<\/p>\n
“D, D DEAD starts with D! I’ll bring something DEAD.”<\/p>\n
Ahem. Really, they do take in a LOT more than you think they do.<\/p>\n
She’ll take her Mr. Death (a beany grim reaper) tomorrow.
I don’t even try to explain anything anymore.
I guess the kinderbat doesn’t fall far from the old spooky tree.<\/p>\n
and on Sunday:<\/p>\n
James and Emily went to Church today (I stayed home with bad allergies) and then to Quiznos.
Emily loves pickles.<\/p>\n
She went to the pepper bar.<\/p>\n
James: Emily, no thank you…leave those alone.
Emily: I want a pickle.
James: Leave those alone right now, they aren’t pickles
Emily: I want a pickle, they are pickles<\/p>\n
and she grabs one and pops it into her mouth. Eyes widening she runs over to James.
He says: You got a jalepeno didn’t you? Spit it out, here, and opens a napkin.<\/p>\n
She does and then in a loud voice says: Daddy! That pickle is having a BAD DAY!<\/p>\n
