Bean dressed up with a real randoseru and Japanese school uniform. On her way to her first ever Anime Festival where she sang the theme from Lilium to great acclaim. I kid you not! Standing ovation, hugs from cosplayers all around, accolades from the MC.

From our small local SCA Faire that happens now twice a year. Emily did the quest by meeting and talking to every one at all the booths and finally recieved a scroll, a dragon’s tear and was knighted.

This is Bean’s cat Haru. Haru also answers to Bad Cat. You can see why above. Haru enjoys giving Em biscuits late at night, climbing the screens and trying to knock over our television. She also really REALLY likes it when you take a shower.

Just giving this a posting attempt. Let’s see if things are settling down. This is Emily at the latest NWA Ren Faire. An SCA based fantasy faire. It is small but determined and very very friendly.

The Bean’s latest craze. She’s mad for the Monster High Dolls.
She posed them and took a picture with my iphone.
Why are there two? Well I got her one and then she got into GT. And the testing was a little intense–for all of us. So when it was done, and after we got over the flu—She got a Cleo de Nile Doll. Then with her own money she bought the set of Cleo and Deuce. And gave me the first Cleo. Better hair (longer and it moved, Dawn of the Dance Cleo’s hair doesn’t move).
These dolls are scarce and rarer than diamonds right now. I’m glad Santa can find them. I think tomorrow we’re going to try a stop motion movie with them.

Bean met the Fairy Queen at the NWA Fantasy Fair. She went on a small quest and then received a dragon’s tear for her to carry for good luck. It was a sweet small fair. Nice people, very much an SCA type of fair (no problem with that, I’m just used to the er, other kind). A pleasant few hours. And happily, as always happens now, we see someone we know.

The Bean gets a hug from the amazing performing Bear. He taught her how to say thank you in Bear and they did a small dance.

I couldn’t believe how much her voice has improved just since the beginning of the year. I was a bit skeptical, but now I’m sold. She has greater control, better tone and knows not to slide her notes. She’s taking it very seriously.
